The first one is the ability to compress or preload your suspension, thus giving you the extra lift you need to clear obstacles. The second one is a trick system of some kind that allows you to race on freestyle courses so that you can bust out tricks while flying through the air like some sort of psychopath. Roaring down the road at 190mph takes bravery, but doing it on two wheels powered by a 170-horsepower engine takes a special kind of courage. You have to lean your motorcycle so hard into turns that you’re barely hovering off the pavement.

Welcome to Vice City. Welcome to the 1980s. Having just made it back onto the streets of Liberty City after a long stretch in maximum security, Tommy Vercetti is sent to Vice City by his old boss, Sonny Forelli. They were understandably nervous about his re-appearance in Liberty City, so a trip down south seemed like a good idea. But all does not go smoothly upon his arrival in the glamorous, hedonistic metropolis of Vice City. He’s set up and is left with no money and no merchandise. Sonny wants his money back, but the biker gangs, Cuban gangsters, and corrupt politicians stand in his way.

While it may lack some of the glamour of Moto GP, the Superbike World Championship is certainly increasing in popularity. For many fans, the attraction of the sport comes from watching professional racers ride commercially available bikes. Italian developer Milestone released SBK-07 last year, making its debut with a solid simulation of the sport on the PlayStation 2, but the follow-up is set to be even more ambitious. Set for release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later in the year, SBK-08 Superbike World Championship is set to tweak the formula, update the graphics, and add a much-needed multiplayer mode, and we went to Milan to see how it’s all shaping up.
