Konami’s Silent Hill series is known for two things: loads of creepy atmosphere and awkward, underdeveloped stories. Silent Hill 3, released on the PlayStation 2 earlier this fall, continues both these traditions by offering up a survival horror adventure that’s long on eeriness and short on sense. Silent Hill 3 isn’t so much about gameplay as it is about creating a disturbing world and immersing you in it, which is something it does very well.

Gun Metal is, in general, a complete success. Pretty much all aspects that make a serious game highly playable and memorable are in tip-top form.
The graphics are sweet, the gameplay a little tough, but oh-so rewarding and highly original, plus the sound is really above par as well. Longterm viability could be questioned, but we’ll touch on that a little later in the review.

Tomb Raider gets a special 10th Anniversary Edition using the Tomb Raider Legend engine, courtesy of Crystal Dynamics. Tomb Raider: Anniversary’s success is twofold; it does well by the memory of the original, and makes a dynamic action adventure game that’s fun to play in 2007.
