The Secrets of Da Vinci takes place shortly after the death of Leonardo Da Vinci. Apparently, Leonardo willed most of his works to a friend, but there are people who, for undisclosed reasons, believe that much of the master’s greatest works have yet to be discovered. You play as Valdo, a young student who is hired by a mysterious person to visit the Cloux Manor where a valuable codex containing some of Da Vinci’s greatest secrets is supposedly hidden.

The game play is great! There are around 10 tracks. The tracks are in order from easiest to hardest. The first track is only 2 or 3 turns with a bunch of straight aways and then the levels progressively get harder and harder with more turns, hills, etc. making it harder than just always going full speed and whooping all the computers. The game play is smooth, always a plus, and the cars are nicely detailed.

As a FPS, Quake II contains a variety of weapons including the fall back Blaster, the Railgun, and the secret BFG10K. Health, armor, and ammunition pick-ups can be found during levels, as can the classic Quake’s Quad Damage power-up.
